East of Scotland Cup Final
Camelon Juniors 4-0 Bonnyrigg Rose

Camelon won the East of Scotland Cup in style with a virtuoso first half performance to sweep away Bonnyrigg Rose. It was one way traffic from start to finish in the first half as Camelon dominated and scored four crackers. In the first two minutes Belly was booked and Mclaren had a great shot saved by the keeper. In the 7th minute a deflected shot from Bally was turned away by the keeper. In the 29th minute after a great run by Lister the ball fell to Shirra who took a touch and hit a great shot that the keeper turned away for a corner and from the corner a netbound shot hit Lister who was lying on the ground.A minute later Jinky got to the byline and hit an amazing cross that Mclaren put away to make it 2-0. In the 31st minute a shot from Bonnyrigg was going in but it was cleared by Belly. In the 34th minute a mistake by the Bonnyrigg defence was pounced on by Lister, he ran in on goal and rounded the keeper and stroked it into the net to make it 3-0. Six minutes from half time it was all over Lister headed on to Donnelly who hit a sweet volley into the net to make it 4-0
Half Time 4-0
The second half was a bit more even. Camelon obviously took heir foot of the gas and were content to hold Bonnyrigg. I think JC only made one save with his feet an the second half as our defence was excellent throughout. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank the people who are going on to pastures new. The management team of Alan Mcgonigal and Martin Mooney have been fantastic. The job they have done at Camelon has been phenomenal. I would also like to thank Jim Lister and Andy Shirra who have been instumental in the teams success this season. These players are probably irreplaceable but let us hope that next year is as fruitful as this one.
